Spanish & French United Nations official languages

Introduction:

  • Cultural competencies, foreign language skills, and cutting edge educational learning technologies are in demand as our future economies and work forces become more interconnected here at home and around the world.

  • Our goal is to develop cultural competency, student skills in using cutting edge educational technology, and exploratory foreign language skills locally without having to travel to France or Spain this summer. Glocal Kids prepares youth with 21st century skills in exploratory French and Spanish, cross cultural understanding, and a collaborative spirit in project based learning through their Glocal Kids passport (online and in class). The use of cutting edge educational technology and skills will be used to integrate this immersion experience.

  • We immerse the student in the target language and culture to cultivate appreciation for language, music, arts, dance, and foods from the French and/or Spanish speaking world during our summer 2017 courses.

            8:00 – 11:00 am    1 week

            12:00 – 3:00 pm    1 week

  • Students aged 10-13 (they will be grouped by age).

  • Students interested in international travel, work and/or studies.
